Can you add my set of standards to the standards?

Absolutely! You can fill out this template spreadsheet and email us. We will input the standards in 1-3 business days. For now, we don't have a more streamlined way to add standards to the list, but we would be grateful if you helped us!

Can I get a copy of the invoices so I can be reimbursed?

Yes, you can do all of that through Stripe. Just follow the instructions here: questionwell.org/invoice

I'm running a PD and want to share QuestionWell.
Do you have any resources for me?

Yes! Please reach out to maya@questionwell.ai for a discount code for your attendees.
Here is a feature walkthrough you may or may not find helpful as well:

How are you funded?

This is a passion project for my husband and me. Those who choose to pay for the subscription are helping us make our dream come true! But we also believe that impact is the most important in Education, so we are committed to making sure that the free version is usable and useful.

Data Privacy Questions

The #1 question we get is about privacy and security of Personal Information. Being in the EdTech space, we take this very seriously.

We are certified by 1EdTech, which is a leader in the space of EdTech Privacy and Security.

We've written our Privacy Policy so that it is hopefully comprehensive and comprehensible.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out at security@questionwell.ai.

Why do I have to sign in with Google/Microsoft? Why can't I just make a QuestionWell account using my email address?

To make sure your data is secure, we are requiring Google or Microsoft sign-in (two known and respected industry standards) instead of spending our limited resources devising our own custom sign-in system, which may end up being less secure. If your administration is uneasy about this, please encourage them to reach out to us! All that is happening is that Google or Microsoft is telling us your name, email, and profile picture. You are also welcome to use your personal email if you prefer.

What exactly am I agreeing to? How do I know you don't gain access to my drive?

By signing in with Google, you agree to let us see and associate you with your "personal info". However, in this case "personal info" is specifically defined to include basically just your name and email.
In short, we are asking for the least possible amount of information. There are other scopes, which are considered "sensitive" and "restricted", and we absolutely do not request any of those.

What do you do with student data?

We do NOT collect any student data, as this is a tool exclusively for teachers. It is against our Terms of Use for teachers to enter student data into the system, so we should not have any student data. If we notice any student data, we remove it immediately.

What data do you collect?

The only data we collect from your Google account is your name and email. Beyond that, we must collect and store what you enter into the site so your work stay intact. Just as you might imagine, this includes anything you write in the topic, reading, or learning outcomes. We also track actions you take on the site, such as which questions you select, flag, and delete. If you add your own questions we will store them as well, along with all the other questions.
All of this is in order to improve the quality of the product. We do not collect any personal information and in fact it is strictly prohibited by our Terms of Service for you to share any personal information with us. For a comprehensive description, see our Privacy Policy.

What do you with that data?

We do not sell or share your data to/with anyone. In the unlikely event there is a security breach, we will let you know as soon as we are aware of it. The only thing we use the data for is to internally improve the quality of the questions created by the AI. We hope our users appreciate this investment into the quality of the app.

I'm really nervous about this data thing. Does this mean you are collecting my personal data and gaining access to my Google account?

No. We've really gone out of our way to make this extremely secure. We also regularly sign Data Privacy Agreements with any schools and districts who request it. If you are concerned, please reach out with your specific questions or requests to security@questionwell.ai.

Do you get my billing information?

No. We only get your name and email.

Do you get my password information?

No. We only get your name and email.

Do you get . . .
some other sort of information?

No. We only get your name and email.

Do you have a Transparency Report?

Sure! Here is the Transparency Report.
 Still concerned?

We'd love to hear from you.
